Role Description: The VP of Finance will report to and work closely with the Executive Director and Faculty Advisor of Enactus Laurier to ensure that the team’s finances are managed closely and with integrity. The VP of Finance will be responsible for maintaining a healthy ongoing relationship with the Student’s Union Finance Team, and for creating and managing a budget for all Enactus Laurier events, as well as facilitating all reimbursements. The VP of Finance will also work closely with the AVP of Development and oversee fund-raising activities to ensure that progress is being made toward achieving the team’s goals.
 

• Time Commitment:
  • Hours are typically between 5-10 hours per week
  • As with all roles on Enactus Laurier, time commitment is often dependent on what is needed by the team, and will increase during the execution of events
• Role Requirements: 
  • Strong organizational ability  
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player, able to work well with others and navigate bureaucracy 
  • Strong financial literacy; previous experience in finance/accounting an asset 
  • Ability to plan and execute budgets; experience an asset
